LANSING – Power has been restored to most of the Lansing Board of Water & Light customers who lost electricity late Tuesday afternoon, according to the utility.
As of 4:15 p.m., an outage map showed more than 10,000 customers without power with clusters of outages in the city of Lansing and Lansing Township.
More than half of Gratiot County's COVID-19 cases tied to single nursing home
Power eventually was reconnected for all but three commercial customers, according to update from the utility after 5 p.m.
It appears a problem at a substation triggered the blackout, although its exact cause remains under investigation, according to a Facebook post from the utility.
