The undermanned NY Giants were steamrolled Sunday at MetLife Stadium by the Los Angeles Rams.
The NY Giants got punched in the mouth Sunday.
New York was outmatched, outcoached, the talent difference was evident, in a 38-11 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
This game exposed several of the Giants‘ many (existing) flaws. They have severe injury issues all over the offense, they can’t scheme their way to any success offensively or to create a pass rush, and they just beat themselves with the same mistakes each week.
This game shows how yet again, the NY Giants are far behind from the curve of the NFL’s elite.
The NY Giants did not fight through adversity today, which is even more disappointed when the immortal 2011 Super Bowl team was being honored at halftime.
Every time a player steps onto the field wearing the Giants’ jersey and the ‘NY’ helmet, it should mean something. There is a strong sense of history and there is an expectation of living up to these teams that came before them and continue their successful legacy. It hasn’t felt this way in a while where the team flat out isn’t playing with enough heart or simply getting sick of being rolled over and waxed seemingly every quarter of every game.
There were few positives to take away from this game. The Giants were blown out in ugly fashion. It’s become far too common to see these teams give such disappointing efforts.
