What is there left to say about this Tennessee Titans team? They cannot field a left tackle capable of even slowing down a defender trying to get to the quarterback. Is that a personnel issue? Sure, but why can’t they convince Andre Dillard to play with even minimal effort? This team overall hasn’t quit on Mike Vrabel, but there are some players who have. Dillard is one of them. I’m not sure why they even ran him back out there.
The personnel is terrible, but this team can’t even figure out a way to line up correctly half the time. They get hit with illegal shift penalties, illegal substitution penalties, and have a guy running into the punter on the goal line after the defense gets a 3 and out. There are things that need to be corrected all over the field - from personnel to coaching. I’m not saying Mike Vrabel should be fired, but I am saying that if he thinks that is exempt from the things that are wrong with this team he is very much mistaken.
Will Levis left the game with a foot injury. Hopefully, it is something that will keep him out next week but not keep him out for any part of the offseason program. Playing him today was the right decision. Playing him next week would be the wrong decision. Especially with disinterested tackles.
There’s not a whole lot else to take away from this game. You have any thoughts?
