The San Francisco 49ers fell short in Super Bowl LVIII and Fletcher Cox seemingly took some joy in the occasion.
Following the 49ers 25-22 overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, Cox took to Instagram to taunt 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel.

Cox told Samuel to "Keep the Eagles out cho mouth" and referenced the fact that he and his Philadelphia Eagles have won a ring with the current roster while the 49ers have not with the current group.
Philadelphia notably fell in Super Bowl LVII last season to the same Chiefs in heartbreaking fashion and had crushed the 49ers in the NFC Championship after injuries plagued San Francisco.
The 49ers smoked the Eagles 42-19 in the regular season rematch and were unable to secure a playoff rematch after falling in the Wild Card Round.
Still, it appears that the blood is still boiling between the two sides. The next rematch is not guaranteed for the 2024 season as the two franchises are not set to play against each other in the regular season. That means the two teams will need to earn a chance to play each other in 2024, which is certainly something both teams are hoping to do.
Until that point, however, it looks like victories will have to come outside of the gridiron, and Cox was able to revel in that this season.
