The AFC North was the best division in football this season with three teams -- Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Cleveland -- finishing at 11-5 or better.

However, with the AFC Divisional Round of the playoffs over, the division has zero teams remaining in the NFL's single-elimination tournament.

The Kansas City Chiefs, the defending champs and the AFC's No. 1 seed, held off the Cleveland Browns on Sunday afternoon, 22-17, despite losing star quarterback Patrick Mahomes in the third quarter due to a concussion.

Mahomes was visibly shaken up following a tackle from Browns linebacker Mack Wilson on an option play. The quarterback was helped off the field and immediately taken into the locker room for further evaluation. Several minutes later, he was ruled out.

Coincidentally, Mahomes' concussion came just one day after Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was forced to leave Saturday's loss to the Buffalo Bills with a concussion as well. Jackson did not return to that game with his team down 17-3 and Baltimore was eliminated.

When Mahomes exited, Kansas City led Cleveland, 22-10. However, the Browns applied pressure in the fourth quarter, trimming the lead to just five on a three-yard touchdown run by former Chief Kareem Hunt.

On the ensuing drive, Kansas City backup quarterback Chad Henne was intercepted by Karl Joseph in the end zone giving the Browns life once again.

That hope wouldn't last long, though. A sequence of questionable play-calling from Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski ultimately resulted in a punt and gave the Chiefs the ball back with just over four minutes remaining.

After his interception, Henne would redeem himself quickly. Faced with a third-and-14 from the Chiefs' 35-yard line, Kansas City's backup scrambled for 13-and-a-half yards, putting the club in a fourth-and-inches situation to ice the game.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, showing full faith in his backup, called a rollout to the right side on fourth down. Henne would complete the pass to wideout Tyreek Hill for a first down, officially sending Kansas City back to the AFC Championship Game for a third straight season.

The Chiefs will now face Josh Allen and the Bills next Sunday evening for the right to play in Super Bowl LV. But all eyes will be on the health of Mahomes throughout the week.
