There are thousands of power outages in Antrim and Kalkaska County on Friday morning.
In Antrim County there are about 5,800 power outages.
Kalkaska County has about 2,900 customers without power.
Those power outages are causing some school closings too.
In Antrim County, both Elk Rapids Public Schools and Alba Public Schools will be closed. Kalkaska Public Schools will be closed as well.
Crews are working on those outages now but they say power may not be restored until around noon.
