But the White Sox will take it.
Down 3-0 against Los Angeles Angels two-way star Shohei Ohtani, the White Sox rallied with two outs in the fifth inning without the benefit of a base hit.

Leury García reached on a fielder's choice and scrambled to third base when Ohtani made an errant pickoff attempt. Adam Eaton and José Abreu followed with back-to-back walks to load the bases. During Yoán Moncada's at-bat, an Ohtani wild pitch brought García home for the White Sox first run of the night.
Ohtani struck out Moncada, but Strike 3 got past Angels catcher Max Stassi, who then made an errant throw to first base in an attempt to end the inning. Eaton scored easily, and Abreu came down the third-base line in succession. Abreu scored, the throw home also off the mark, and slid into Ohtani, sparking a brief health scare.
Cue the "Benny Hill" theme.
Ohtani, who Angels manager Joe Maddon revealed during an on-air broadcast was due to come out of the game anyway, seemed all right following the home-plate meeting with Abreu.
The tie was short lived, Codi Heuer giving up a go-ahead home run in the bottom of the inning. But the White Sox, who outside of a 12-run night Friday struggled to string hits together in the season-opening series in Anaheim, welcomed any run-scoring play.
Even one as wacky as this one.
