COLUMBUS, Ohio – Some Ohio cities likely will lose millions of dollars in annual tax revenue because of the greater number of Ohioans who now work from home, according to a new study.

The study estimated that Akron, Cincinnati, Columbus, Dayton, Elyria, Fairfield, Kettering, Springfield, Strongsville and Toledo cumulatively could lose as much as $230 million annually. That’s due to the loss of commuters who would have owed them taxes but are now instead working from home.
