A federal appeals court upheld the racketeering conspiracy convictions of a member of the Lucchese organized crime family and one of his associates, authorities said Monday.
Nicodemo S. Scarfo, 57, of Galloway, a member of the Lucchese organized crime family, and Salvatore Pelullo, 55, Philadelphia, will continue to serve 30-year sentences handed down seven years ago, a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit ruled last week.
