"The underlying challenges have intensified and the Lord has answered leaders’ prayer for clarity by making it abundantly clear that transitioning to a new educational enterprise is the only viable way to fulfill ENC’s mission of providing transformational education," officials wrote in an FAQ about the closure plan. According to the WARN report, 125 employees of the college will lose their jobs from the end of August through spring of 2025. College officials said in a statement that the Human Resources department would be reaching out directly to individual faculty and staff members. Those conversations, the college said, would include an offer of job placement support. Pastoral support is also being offered to all students and staff. ENC's closure FAQ said the Board plans to transition to providing annual scholarships for Nazarene students from the Eastern Field to attend another Nazarene IBOE school.
