Eminem maintains a fairly constant presence on the Billboard charts with one album, which never seems to disappear. The rapper’s Curtain Call: The Hits compilation can always be found on at least one or two tallies–and usually more than that.
Non-stop streaming and buying of Eminem’s most beloved hit singles are largely to thank for Curtain Call’s ongoing success on the charts in America. This frame, it’s clear that one track from that compilation is doing more than its fair share of the work to keep that title going strong.
“Lose Yourself” is growing in popularity in America. Eminem’s No. 1 smash returns to the Rap Digital Song Sales chart this frame after falling away from the ranking of the bestselling rap tracks in the nation. This frame, the tune blasts back onto the list at No. 10.
At the same time, “Lose Yourself” almost found its way back to the top 10 on another chart. The smash settles at No. 11 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales tally, improving from No. 12. The fact that this 20-plus-year-old track was almost present inside the highest tier on a pair of Billboard lists is noteworthy, as that’s not commonly seen.
The ongoing success of “Lose Yourself” is helping Curtain Call remain a favorite in America. The Oscar-winning single appears on the compilation’s tracklist, so all streams and sales of the cut contribute to its placement on the charts.
Curtain Call is a non-mover at No. 53 on the Billboard 200 this week. That’s a very healthy position for the compilation, which was released back in 2005. In the past tracking frame, Luminate reports that Eminem’s release moved another 16,926 equivalent units.
All those units ensure that Curtain Call appears on four Billboard charts this week. In addition to the Billboard 200, the set rises on the Top Streaming Albums ranking, moving up three spaces to No. 42. The title falls very slightly on both the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top Rap Albums rosters.
Of course, “Lose Yourself” is one of many, many singles that are on Curtain Call, and all of them are constantly being played. The fact that it’s the only one of Eminem’s tunes from that set that appears on the Billboard rankings shows that it’s the most popular at the moment.
