The men's soccer team suffered a 3-0 away defeat to the Bears of St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn on a sunny Thursday afternoon at Aviator Field in Brooklyn, New York.
The hosts from the Skyline Conference out-shot the visiting Bearcats, 20-9, which included a 15-7 advantage in the second half.
Both teams started slow with only seven total shots in the first 45 minutes (B: 2 / STJ :5), but played picked up in the shot-filled second half.
Victor Naci scored a brace for the Bears and Jesus Cano had the third goal.
Jemali Zarnadze and Frank Shkreli had two shots each in the non-conference loss.
The Bearcats will quickly return to action this weekend as they will travel to Washington, DC to compete at the Turk Emekli Classic hosted by Catholic University.
They will play the hosts Catholic on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. The other two teams in the Classic features SUNY Oswego against Montclair State University who will play at 11:00 a.m.
The Bearcats will play SUNY Oswego on Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
